Hi all,
I have an ancient Worcester 9.24. It has been okay though in the main. Today though when I turned the CW switch up, it made an almighty grinding noise. I turned it off and noticed what looked like blue sparks through the gap above the switch. I then turned the hot water tap on and the same noise. I have since turned the tap on and had hot water but the noise is still there and what looks like a spark can be seen through that gap.
I have called BG but they can't come until tomorrow night. Worried that we may blow up during the night. Any advice please on what the issue could be and is it safe to run the hot tap to fill a sink up for example. The nosie is not an issue but the spark, hmmm. The pilot light is staying on by the way.
Thank you
Badger
