We have a problem with the NEFF :?: gas hob in the house we bought. When you put on a second gas burner the pressure drops on them both. We have lived with this for a while but would like it solved. Is it a gas pressure thing? Is it a badly fitted appliance? Nothing obvious to be seen and the central heating is fine, which is the only other gas appliance.
Any thoughts anyone.

It measures 15mm wide at the only point where a small section of pipe is visible. This is between a coupling and an elbow and the shutoff valve so is not part of the main pipe run.Problem is I cant get behind the plasterboard wall easily to look and its
Do you mean if it is smaller bore after it enters the house and goes to the kitchen then it will affect pressure?
I noticed an additional run from the meter outside to a gas fire (removed now) in the living room that has the small bore bendable piping.
Any way of checking the pressure or the hob?

Under normal circumstances you should have a 22mm pipe leaving the meter & branch off to different appliances in a smaller bore pipe, usually 15mm for a gas hob, this may be why you appear to have low pressure on your hob when you use more than one burner. Having said that the only real way to tell is to have the pressure measured at the appliance by a corgi engineer.

Thanks, that seems the only way out then. It probably isn't worth the trouble and expense unless we decide to redo the kitchen. If it is the pipe at fault then its tearing into the walls and i'd rather not start that now.!
