Hi i am about to fit a new cold water tank in loft but need to raise. I am going to build a frame out of 4x2 but will need to lay ply on top to distribute weight evenly. My questions are do i need to buy any particular type of ply and what thickness do i need?

1" (25 mm) marine ply. Build the base about twice the area of the tank to allow a good weight dispersion, and don't put insulation beneath it.
