Well with that in mind, I need to clear up one other thing. Can I just replace the current fused spur for a DP switch given that the heater is 1.3m from the bath & 0.9m from the sink?

In other words, I think the heater is in Zone 3 - so does this allow the use of a DP switch?

No, you must changed the fused spur for a switched fuse spur, you can't just eliminate the fuse, and yes, the only requirement for equipment in zone 3 is the general one in the regs of 'equipment must be suitable for the conditions likely to be present in the location its installed' (or words to that effect), so its upto you to decide how likely it is that you'll be cleaning the bathroom with the garden hose...

Sorry, I did actually mean a switched FCU with flex outlet, but wrote DP switch Not used to tossing these terms around!

So you reckon that with the given parameters I'm okay with a switch in the bathroom?
