A plumber has installed a new bathroom suite into my house and I was wondering if the following are important enough to mention it to him:

The bath frame has a screw missing and is a bit wobbly
The bath legs are not on wood
The bath has no middle support as he took the leg away and said it was a spare and didn't need it.

Can anyone help, please?????????????????

Sounds like it. If you're not happy bring it up with him and don't pay him until you are.

Yes - I assume that he hasn't finished yet?

1) Where is the screw missing from?
2) What are the feet sitting on?
3) What a load of c**p - the manufacturer supplies five legs for a reason!

As long as the feet are on a stable surface i.e concrete or properly fixed floorboards etc then no problem.

The centre leg being missing would cause me some concern as if a heavy person were to step in then the bath may spilt/crack. altough it may argued this may need a lot of weight.

The screw to the frame? perhaps you could advise where this is missing from?

The screw is missing from the metal frame which screws into the chipboard underneath.

I am sorry, I don't have a pic.

I am concerned abouth the missing leg though as we stand in the bath to have a shower.

As long as some screws are in then it should be OK, just a bit lazy of the plumber not to put them all in along with the missing leg!!

I would at the very least ask him to come back and put the leg on. Its not a big job.

The purpose of putting the bath feet onto wood is to spread the load on the existing floorboards should you get a leak you do not notice and this starts to rot the original floorboard.

As far as I know it is only required by NHBC on new build, but should be done as good practice on all installations.

You MUST get the centre leg fitted and the screw put in as any small movement will be multiplied with you in/out of the bath.

Tell him if he comes back you will get a nose bag for his horse whilst he puts things right
