Hi all,
I am about to remove the back boiler from the dinning room, the imersion tank and pump are all in the loft, it was installed about 3 years ago and was only used for a few months, the house was empty for 2 years, what I want to do is put a new boiler in the loft it will be easy to plumb straight to the tank, can anyone advise me on a good economy boiler, type of flue required to go out the roof, I will get someone to do the gas side of it, the reason I am gonna do it as I am on a very tight budget. Any tips and advise very welcome
Steve

If you wanna know which boiler then do a search of the forum or even the FAQs. Remember though you get what u pay for.

The flueing should also be done by a corgi so dont think anyone here's gonna give you much info on the actual installation.

If you want the boiler in loft, don't forget to install fixed chipboard flooring, guardrail, fixed loft light and switch and finaly lag the pipes. And a loft ladder.
Programmer and FSU should be fitted where it easier to reach and not in loft.

and make sure the header tank is 300mm higher than the highest point of pipework unless you are using a sealed system kit....

Worcester Ri range are not bad....you'll need a vertical flue kit and maybe a extension piece if the attick is high.

Also a means of isolation for gas outside of loft space, but that's for the corgi bod.
