New Build - T&G Plywood Vs TG Pine Floorboards

Given the choice in a new build - timber frame construction - the upper floor - which type of flooring would you opt for ?

24/25mm thick T&G Plywood or 24/25mm thick Pine T&G Floorboard ?

I would probably choose the pine as it could be stained/varnished to give nice finish without paying more for engineered or laminate flooring.


As it is a new build, you should have good thermal and acoustic insulation beneath the floor.
