Hi all I have just bought a dishwasher and fitted it in linked up the intake hose and the outgoing hose put in the salt and set it to rinse as the book told me too as this is the fist time the machine has run I don't know how long the cycle takes but it now beeps at me and one of the lights flashes and makes a draining like noise i have booked a guy to come and look at it but i have just had it I want to use it! If you have any advice that can help as to what we are doing or if it is the machine please reply BTW we have checked that the pipes are not kinked and the water is on as the unit has water in it :0)

It could be that the water isn't able to drain out of the dishwasher. Are you sure that the point where you've connected the drain pipe from the dishwasher to the drain isn't blocked?
If that checks out OK then I think the model number of the dishwasher (sticker on the inside top edge of the door) and which light is flashing might help others here.
