Hi all

I got a new cctv and alarm fitted a few days ago. I got the below:

Supply and installation of new 2 camera 8MP system with new 4CH DVR 1TB installed in loft, new Pyronix hybrid alarm system with 2x PIR sensors, 2x door sensors, 1x keypad, 1x fob, 1x wired outdoor siren.

They helped me install 2 apps. Home control 2.0 and HIK connect.

My questions are

1) I keep forgetting to turn off the burglar alarm and go to open the back door in the morning and off the alarm goes. Is there anyway to put a schedule on the alarm?

2) the front cctv only picks up about 80% of person motion. The ring camera picks up far more. Is this normal? I did ask the conpany who installed it and they said as camera is so high up, right under gutter or a 2 story house, that is the reason why it doesn't always pick up as much as a ring camera.

3) also the company who installed it has access to my cctv. Ie also the motion detection clips. It's odd as at first I asked them to please adjust the line on the driveway as was getting my neighbours walking up their path setting off the motion detection. They said they can not access it. So I set a temporary password for them to get in. I then changed it back after they made adjustments. The adjustments were not enough so I asked them to adjust again but didn't change the password and they logged in even though I had changed the password to only one I knew.
I asked them how did you log in as I changed the passwrd and they said they have access for 1 month to my system after installation. They said
"When we register the system in our professional Hik partner pro account we have 30 days to adjust settings "
does this sound right.
Thought it was private?
Why ask me to temporary change password as they cant access it first?
Thanks all

1. Not sure how your system is setup but sounds like you can wonder around the house when part set at and not tigger anything until you open the back door? Not sure that's intentional or poor setup. In that if someone broke in via means other than the door, the alarm is not going to be triggered.

2. Cameras high up aren't good for getting facial shots, as for what they do or dont pick up, that could be anything to be fair, capability of camera, view and how its set up. When comparing it to the ring what are you comparing exactly???

3. Yes Installers can place things on their installer account giving them access to make changes for a round a month or so, it is the restricted to some degree as to what can be done via that platform, it is expected that camera settings may need tweaking to some degree after initial configuring and having this option allows installers to do some things without visiting site for every tweak.
