Had a Biasi 28 fitted a few weeks back to replace a buggered Ariston unit. Now when the central heating is on you can hear a clicking noise every few minutes or so. It starts off fast and gradually gets slower until it stops - lasts about 10 seconds. I only really noticed it in the bedroom but now as I sit here in the living room, I can hear it in here too. It's not very loud but it's definitely there. It doesn't really bother me too much but if there's something I can do easily to stop it then I will.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Gcol

If it's the pipe clips, why wouldn't it have clicked on the old unit?

I haven't mentioned it to the installer yet.

The pipes are probably getting hotter than they did with the old boiler.

I don't think so - as it's still quite mild outside I've set the water temp quite low.

The only other thing I've noticed is that thermostatic valve in the bedroom seems to be faulty - it's letting more hot water through, and making the room hotter than it used to when set on number 3 on the valve. I've had to turn it down to nearer 2. Weird. I've yet to try and swap it for one from a different room.

Perhaps the new boiler was fitted with the flow and return connections the opposite to before. This could alter the behaviour of TRVs and might give rise to creaking noises because the flow pipe can heats up and cools down more rapidly than the return.

Oooooo I like that one! I'll try and switch the valve for one from a different room and if it's still the same I'll takle the guy that fit it.

Thanks for that,
Gcol
