New concrete floors

Hello folks can anyone give me advice on how to seal concrete floors before I move into my new house. The reason for sealing my floors is that it maybe a while before I can afford to tile etc so I was going to use sealant to keep the dust down in those rooms I will be using. Or does anyone have other suggestions.

cheap ribbed carpet. 2 quid a meter. You can prime but should really match the primer to the smoothing compound / glues etc you are using.
