New Decking...when to oil??

Hi

I got decking laid about 2 months ago, the guys said to get it an oil in October. The board are pre treated and I have the clear oil to coat it but am I better holding off until the spring to then give it a clean up and oil for the spring/summer or should I do in now?

Just done a test patch on my new deck and it sat on the surface for 2 days. Give it a test. Mines untreated larch so may not be relevant.
