The Llangernyw Yew is estimated to be at least 4,000 years old. The yew tree (Taxus baccata) is believed to have taken root sometime during Britain's Bronze Age. Today it’s situated in the grounds of St Digain’s Church for all to see.
The world's oldest tree is about 9,000 years old, so our ancestors were in the Mesolithic age still bangin' the rocks together when that seed germinated.
