It has been known for some time that while these applications have until now been free, a fee of £96 was going to be introduced; that date is supposed to be today (19th August).

However, the Planning Jungle website has an interesting note this morning pointing out that the relevant part of the GPDO on the information required for a valid application (A4(2)) has not been amended to include the requirement for a fee.
It seems that the 42-day period still starts once the information required has been submitted, even in the absence of a fee.

Possible little loophole for those contemplating a larger extension, though for how long it will be available ........??

Good. I'm putting applications in for the whole of North Birmingham today. :cautious:
