We are doing an extension, I was thinking of UHF under the new part, but will this cause issues with a covering that goes from old to new, as the new part would be warm and the old cold when the heating is on. Would this cause an issue with Engineered wood, LVT etc...

Tile is the preference for wet ufh.

There are some engineered woods that are suitable, but I’ve no experience, as I tiled.

As for where warm and cold floors meet, the differential temperature shouldn’t be so large to cause condensation.
The recess for my back door has no ufh pipe and in winter it’s significantly colder than the rest of the floor, but there’s no moisture issues.
