New floor

hi, I have removed all old rotten floorboards to expose joists which are 500 mm apart. I have re boarded using lengths of 60 mm wide 18 mm ply and screwed to joists, however there is " play "when walking Where the boards meet . Please advise as doesn't feel stable enough for tiling on or for toilet to be seated on. Many thanks

Did you mean 600mm wide plywood? Why didn't you use whole sheets? A noggin under every join?

as above ALL joins need support.if you havnt done this then unless you can put up with it?which may give out in years to come?then lift it up and start again.

Hi, thank you both for advice ,would it work to ply over the top with say one 8 mm uncut sheet of ply or best to start again ?

I would remove and fit noggins, support under every single joint.

Hi, noggins done, ply down, do I have to tape join and waterproof boards before laying shower base on layer of mortar ? Thanks.
