I want to replace floorboards with ply prior to tiling bathroom but cannot replace entire area to be Tiled because of where joists fall.
At the door to the bathroom I'd be left with about 300 mm of original floorboard.
Can anyone see a problem with this from the tiling perspective? i.e. Would I be okay to replace majority of floor with ply but leave the bit by the door as original boards and tile over these?
I know I could overboard the area, but trying to minimise height difference.
