Hi all. Recently purchased a new house which has 4 x CCTV cameras installed however it’s not working. I have located the DC supply box however when you flick the switch, the green light on the board does not power on. I’ve checked the 3 pin lead feeding it and that deffo works so not sure. I’m pretty certain that in the night we moved in, when I looked up at one of the cameras the red ring of lights were lit up so unsure what the issue is. Failing this could I get a brand new power supply and control box and wire the cameras into that so that they get power and the camera feeds into a new control box?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Do,you have a multimeter ?

Step 1 check for 240 AC Coming into psu ….if so
Step 2 check for 12v DC Coming out of psu ( I would disconnect all the camera red wires in case of a short )

I don’t have a multimeter but let’s say I checked and this was dead? What are my options?

Replace power supply ….although the cctv looks very old …try taking out the red wires and see if the green light comes on
