Hello

I had an internal door replaced back in May and a few months after the door has started sticking when opening and closing.

Initially the problem was at the bottom and I planed a bit off and it worked fine. Recently the problem has started again in different places, the bottom again and the middle, around the latch.

Any ideas what the problem might be? It's super frustrating trying to open and close. It's a fire door and was replaced by contractor of my landlord.

I inspected the hinges and they are tightly screwed into the frame and door, no visible looseness.

I've noticed the door also tends to swing open/close quite easily, e.g during summer I had a fan blowing from around 5 meters away and on full blast, the door would creak as it slightly closed, never had this with the previous door. Not sure if that gives a hint to the problem (Or if this is even a problem)

Is it a wooden door I take.
Wood moves.
We had a very dry summer and now that humidity is kicking in, wood will expand and cause this sort of problem.
With regards to close on its own, check that the frame and door are plumb.

Get landlord to repair. Fire door needs to meet regulations.
