Decorating our kitchen shortly and thinking about swapping our old standard radiator for a chrome vertical one. The new would have to be a maximum of 650mm wide and give off a good heat. Any recommendations would be very welcome particularly if accompanied by a link. Thank you.

Don’t understand the fad for vertical radiators. Heat rises, that is why radiators are traditionally low down. With vertical rads the heat from the top half just goes to the ceiling surely.

Vertical rads are very inefficient, they might look nice but yoou wont get much heat from them

Thank you for your input guys, but I do know that hot air rises and cold air sinks setting up convection currents. I am also aware that whether vertical or low down horizontal, some radiators will have a higher BTU (if that’s the right term) than some others. I want a chrome vertical radiator with a highish BTU.

Just make sure the pipes are minimal clean and tidy.
