My planned kitchen supplier let me down at the last minute.

Im going to Ikea as the whole process has been a pain.

I have a few questions that AI keeps giving me conflicting answers for.

Will a non ikea integrated washing machine fit an Ikea cabinet?

Will an Ikea cabinet door fit straight on to integrated freezer hinges without modification?

Ikea appliances seem to be overpriced whirlpool and I’d rather avoid if possible.

Any advice is appreciated

I went back to the bespoke company that give me my original quote.

We had a dispute over payment which we have settled.

My only concern is their warranty is only 1 year?

Is this normal for a small company?

They use egger board and worktop and all hinges are Blum.

So I assume they have separate warranty?

I would never use built in washing machine, tumble drier, fridge, freezer, microwave, etc. Maybe built in oven and hob, as that gets the oven at a more useable height, but even then, my standalone cooker, has closed door grilling, etc. Which uses over 16 amps, and most ovens which are built in only have a 16 amp supply so putting it simple, they don't have a large enough supply for closed door grilling without power-sharing, i.e. switching between two elements.

Personally I don't think washing machine and tumble drier should be in the kitchen to start with, but sometimes no option.

But Murphy's law, allow for mechanical things to fail, and arrange it so easy to change them.

They’re not really built in as such.

The just have the same doors as the cabinets.

Ikea complicated this a bit so I went with a local bespoke company instead.

Ikea unit heights and lack of service void, coupled with weird sizes put me off.

I very nearly went with DIY kitchens.

DIY kitchens have 5year guarantee which they honoured when some of my doors start to chip , paint specialist sent out and confirmed bad batch and were replaced .
