We've had our bannister / spindles replaced with oak and I wanted to find out the best finish we can put on it. I've been told we can use a few coats of Danish Oil on it, but i'm not sure if that is durable enough to keep dirt out and keep it clean (especially from kids)
We don't mind if the wood is slightly darker, and prefer a satin type finish. What would you suggest?
