sorted problem with 242 trip was ..tripped...reset trip CH work ok but rads are sligthly cold at bottom..now when i use the hot water the water get extremely hot...and after turning it off the boiler vaillant 242 E pressure goes up to 3bar and the temp sors to 100 degree C ....any advise and thansk for previous advice!

it seems you have defective expansion vassel which might need pressure or if damaged it will need replacing.while doing this also check your gas pressure to burner it might need readjusting.you need a corgi engineer to carry out this work.

Is it not more likely that after using the hot water the diverter valve is sticking or the HW Microswitches are, causing the boiler to stay lit and over heating causing it to trip and pressure rise.
Try this mate, turn the heating off, run your Hot Water for a bit till its nice and toastie, switch off the tap and see how long the boiler stays lit after, should go out pretty much straight away.
