Hi all. I have replaced on old radiator with a new one of a higher btu ouput. The problem is, the new only getting luke warm..nowhere near as hot as the original. Here's what I've tried so far...

Bled radiator (all air expelled, just water coming from bleed valve now)

Lockshield valve returned to original position and tried fully open

Thermostat tried at various positions

Drianed and refilled again. Lockshield closed, bleed valve open. Turned on at Thermostat, bled, then opened Lockshield to original setting.

Still not getting very warm...does seem warmer at the top but not much in it.

Any more advice on things I can try...Going to try drianing and refilling again as a last resort..is there another method to do this ?

HELP

Try turning off the other rads in the house to see if it might be a balancing issue. Also the TRV could be suspect.

How big is the rad compared to the old one? Did the old one get very hot?
