Hi everyone,

I'm just about to hang a new radiator, and it's clear that with the brackets supplied, the radiator intake and outtake holes will be 65mm out from the wall, and the inlet and outlet pipe are only 35mm.

Here's a pic

There is a moderate amount of play in the pipes, and I could quite easily just force the pipes out from the wall by another 30mm with very little effort. Is that safe to do?

If that's not safe to do, what is the best solution for hanging that radiator that doesn't involve taking up the floor, which will be a huge pain, as you can imagine!

If the pipes move very freely ,to the position that you need them ,there are two drawbacks.
1. The pipes will be at an angle and so will the valve heads. If your not bothered about how that looks ,all good.
2. You might possibly put undue strain on the pipes/ joints below floor level and cause a leak.

If you can solder 2 x 15mm endfeed street elbows together, the shorter spigot ones will give you a 32mm offset.
