New room stat doesn't need a netural

If replacing a hard wired room stat. That only requires a com and no Wires. What is safe to do with the neutral that is no longer needed?

simply make sure it cannot touch anything, typically by placing it in a single piece of connector block or other secure method. Ideally not plastic tape which over the years will dry and fall off.
