Hello,

As you can probably tell from previous posts this is my first bathroom fit out, I'm just in the process of planning how the shower pipes are going to be installed... I've seen a few people add a ply backboard and then poke the pipes through this, is that needed or will the tiles and a cls piece be ok?

I've drawn a little illustration, NOT TO SCALE! haha

Piece of CLS will be fine, it's only supporting the shower valve which isn't heavy. You could also put a vertical piece in for the rail.
