About to install low profile shower tray
whats the best way to ensurethat this will be forever leak free?
do i recess it into the wall slightly ? use some kind of sealant strip or plastic sheeting against wall or just sealant??
thanks

fit shower tray and tile off it, leaving a 2mm gap to allow a good quality sealant to go into the gap and do not use for 4-6 hours to allow sealant to cure

you should consider tanking it depending on the wall construction and the tile sizes.

tanking is just a paint on waterproof membrane which you run just onto the lip of your tray as tiles and grout should not be relied on as a fully waterproof surface, especially small format tiles or mosaics. Do a search in the tiling forum there are loads of posts on it or the other options available.
