New Sloping Roof - Use Flashing Tape to Seal to Brickwork?

I am just replacing an existing plastic corrugated sloping side roof with mini-profile corolux. The old stuff was standard profile and was weatherproofed against the side wall of the house using roof felt which was tucked into the mortar between the brickwork.

Can I use flashing tape instead? If so, should you always use a primer or can you just apply it direct to the brickwork?

Many thanks for any advice

It would make for a tidier job using the units in your link.

If you must stick the flashband to the brickwork you will deffo need to prime first, if you dont channel it in it will peel of within a couple of years if not sooner.

I would take the time to clear out the old channels while the roofs off.
