I wish to redo my bathroom.I have 2 stacks outside.

1.SVP in cast iron in ok condition
2. Open hopper for wash basin and bath tub.

Present setup:

Toilet is connected to waste bend on the floor(S trap i believe) and then to SVP outside.I believe it curves above the kitchen ceiling downstairs then joins soil stack outside. The wash basin and shower tub pipes are visible and they go outside house wall into an open hopper system.

How to connect all of these to 1 stack ie, the cast iron SVP.I wish to remove bath tub in install shower enclosure. Also need to install a up to date toilet pan with no visible pipes Any tips to avoid boxing in pipes. The joist run the other way to the wall.

Do i change whole stack to plastic.

Have you got a second toilet to use while you do this job?

I think you are going to need one

I have seen stacks where they have cut out the middle section of the stack and then replaced with plastic using time savers/ Ferncos or the like

Personally I would replace the whole stack
