Have had TRV fitted and it doesn't seem to be workin properly. The rad is either hot or cold , have looked in FAQ's but didn't spot an answer.CheersWW
That would depend on whether the rooms cold or hotThe rad is either hot or cold
set valve on 3 open all the other trv`s to max..turn up the roomstat to full....monitor the rad in question ..keep the door to that room shut .. rest of house should get hot ...that room should stay @ roughly what 3corresponds toYes , the room stat is in the hall , the rad is in the bedroom. The prob seems to be that i want to set the TRV on 3 but as i say it is then either hot or cold there appears to be no happy medium.Cheers WW.
Is it a "RA-FS" valve? If so then it's bi-directional, but I have a suspicion that other Danfoss TRVs are not, in which event you'd need to determine whether or not it's fitted to the flow side of the radiator.waynesworld said:TVR is new .It is a Danfoss Lifestyle .
The reason i posted was to get help , that is what this forum is for.I apologise for not noticing that i had been given the correct answer TWICE, i am not the expert. WW.You have been given the correct answer already mate. Twice.
A trv is SUPPOSED to switch the rad on and off, they can not make them less hot. It is similar to the mute button on your tv, not volume control
Am in the process of trying this will post back later.Cheers WW.set valve on 3 open all the other trv`s to max..turn up the roomstat to full....monitor the rad in question ..keep the door to that room shut .. rest of house should get hot ...that room should stay @ roughly what 3corresponds toYes , the room stat is in the hall , the rad is in the bedroom. Thanks for your support. In reply to your earlier post how wil i know if it is a RA/FS Valve. Cheers WW.Insisting that the OP has been given the answer, when he's only posted information and is doing his best to answer further questions, is foolish and unhelpful.
