My Georgian rear bay/door has finally rotted away after 80 odd years. The glazing guy who came round today recommended against replacing this bay with the same, as the property has lead in the top halves of all the other windows in the house & he thought that it would look odd. I was going to have a Georgian style put back, but does he have a valid point? Not sure why they built it like that in them days. Any views anyone? Was also thinking about wooden frames, but not sure.
