Hi.

I'm thinking of having new uPVC windows.

Under the old windows they are sitting on a piece of timber 2cm thick.

Is it best to remove timber for new windows to sit directly on brickwork? Will sit on sill.

Or is it better to have timber under sill?

Best removed , old metal windows usually sat on timber .
