Hi all, I want to put an engineered oak floor in my kitchen that currently has ceramic floor tiles. I plan on taking up the tiles and I know there are granite slabs under. (not to bothered in leaving the granite exposed as it is cold and damp)

I was planning on using self levelling compound on the floor after lifting the tiles then laying thick DPM, then thin insulation, then the engineered oak.

Is this the right method?????

Thanks
