Hello All,

I am curious to know if I can tile over the top of the wooden floor in my kitchen. Underneath the floor is concrete, which is not that even, but not too bad, there is the odd bump here and there. The wood floor is 1cm thick, tongue and groove with 1mm oak veneer. The wood floor is solid and level but is now fairly worn. Would I be able to tile over the top of this?

Many thanks.

no, you'll get too much movement.

It'll be far easier and cheaper to remove it and tile onto the concrete floor.
