I've asked our neighbour to sign a party wall agreement which they have done but said they didn't have to do any of it when they had thier loft done !!

surely it's not normal to break through the party wall with zero fire protection !!!

Any comments ?

If that's through to your side then no building control will not allow that those timbers should be hung on masonry shoes

If the neighbours are working on the Party wall, then under the PWA agreement you should be entitled to your own independant surveyor, to look after your interests, at their expense!

This has been there for about 5 years ( before we moved in ) ... They said they didn't have party wall or building regs sign off though.

I knew it wasn't legal but didn't think it was this rough... The company that did it are supposed to have a good reputation.

The current party wall agreement it for our conversion not theres

What's that cable on top of the timber from? You must be able to hear literally anything going on in their loft! Looks wrong on many levels!
