Nigel Farage and Makerfield

I find many of the video/photo ops that politicians do almost laughable. And I mean from all parties. When you think about seeing them doing stuff like drinking in pubs to show they're one of the people, driving tanks cause they're doing so much (or promising to) for defence, walking around hospitals with their sleeves rolled up cause they're doing so much (or promising to) for the NHS, talking to kids in a school to show they're relatable etc, it's a joke.

Correlate all this to what they eventually deliver ;)
Around council elections i get the leaflets with a Councillor having a photo with a sad face standing next to a pot hole thean a smiling face next to a new playground, all in the same clothes like nige they just went around different spots all in one day

Your history is a wee bit skewed. For centuries those with money, wealth and power told the poor, the weak, the slaves and the workers - what to do, what they were never allowed to own and that they had no say so how the country was run.
The left balanced that out.
That sounds like a passage from the teachings of a cult religion, aimed at young children. Do you really believe this simple-minded nonsense?

"The world was terrible, then along came us lovely people to make it all better."

Socialism has caused lots of harm all over the world, mostly to poor people.

Surely you cannot be so ignorant that you actually believe this? FaRage has conned millions of people into voting to damage trade with our largest group of importers and exporters which is wiping many billions off of the economy every year, and he's tried his best to stoke up racial hatred and has divided the nation. He's blatantly corrupt and will say literally anything for money, and he's sympthises with our greatest enemies.
Farage is the opitome of treachery, and his cultists are traitors.
Sadly the moronic RW bunch couldn't care about any of that...

They choose to adore him as the 'man in the pub', and 'not part of the elite'...

Ignoring the fact he is a privately educated corrupt racist...

Which means he fits in quite well with certain obnoxious factions of the 'elite'!

Agree. I actually applaud those that take the reverse-narcissism approach and don’t mind making a fool of themselves.
Gove actually went up in my estimation when he turned up to Parliament bladdered.

I have noticed when the the left talk - its always with a violent undertone - not bore me with photos of a yob with an England flag throwing a brick in NI

Although that 'look like a fool' approach can be taken a bit too far...

Ed Davey!

Apart from not making any sense, who are you referring to when you say 'left'?

Don't be speak ill about Prescott he's gone. Jess Philips, that's different. Neither made a jot of difference to Labor politics, the smooth speaking Bliarites did.

So that's yes then, you are ignorant.

The Boris wave was intentional, by the previous government. It was not related to Brexit, it was the government's policy, mostly as a result of them panicking due to covid.
The increase wasn't just the Boris wave, and the Boris wave would never have happened if Brexit had never happened.

The bond yields are now way worse than when Truss was PM. That's why Starmer has stopped mentioning her, as the comparisons are not good.

The economy is going to be thoroughly "Trussed" tonight or tomorrow if Burnham wins Makerfield.

The bond markets aren't political, they just care whether we're spending within our means. Burnham has promised massive amounts of unfunded spending.

The government may go bankrupt before Burnham even challenges Starmer for leadership.
So no thoughts on Farage at all, just that Liz Truss was misunderstood by the markets

What the heck are you waffling about? Liz Truss caused the bond yield to spike. The sustained, long term level of the bond yield under Labour is now higher than it ever was in that very short Truss spike. Because Starmer's Labour are perceived by the markets as being less competent than Truss was.

Burnham's Labour party will be seen as a massive risk, so will make it spike much higher, to a point where the UK govt can't afford to pay the interest on its current debt, never mind borrow any more for all Burnham's fake promises.

Here you go, I've put a cursor on that Truss peak for the hard of thinking...

Have you not noticed that this govt has stopped mentioning Truss? It's because they don't want to be compared to her.

That most recent spike is the result of the possibility of Burnham becoming PM. As soon as he becomes an MP it will let rip.
