Hi,
Can anyone suggest a solution, I have had some of the old radiators replaced with new. When the heating system is switched on the radiators start to make a loud ticking noise(this goes on until the system is switched off).
Thanks Meathanman,
when you say wrong direction what do you mean, as when the guy that fitted the new rads - he only changed the rads, no new pipes were used.
Regards
Brian
If the rads were replaced, then surely the valves were too?
Most TRV's are bidirectional these days, but its still better to fit them on the flow to the rads. Occasionally they click when trying to switch off.

Sometimes heard this coming from the fins on some rads. Its the metal expanding and contracting. The fins on some are spot welded to the rad and when they expand you hear the metal moving against the rad. If it doesn't stop after a while only solution is to buy decent rads.
