NISSAN MICRA 2005 - REAR WINDSCREEN WIPER

How do I change the rear windscreen wiper unit on a 2005 Nissan Micra?

Taken the nut off and thought it would just slip off ready for the replacement. It didn't. Put WD40 on. Is it supposed to wiggle off (more strength needed) or is it fixed on inside the hatch door behind the trim?

No Haynes manual available for this model.

Any help appreciated.

If you're trying to get the arm off, it should be on a splined taper stud, so wiggle it every direction and it should pop off. Will help if you pop the arm back so its vertical

Still won't budge. I assume it should it just pull off after wiggling. No hint of movement at all. Just have to keep trying or go to the garage and pay. Don't think you can just get a wiper blade for the unit.

There's a super photo of the wiper attachment innards on the evilution web site for smart cars - make it sound so easy! Not.

All sorted. Went to Motorworld to look at replacement. Didn't need to take whole plastic part off - all that struggling for nothing! Took me two seconds to take off old one, replace new one. £12.99. Thanks for support.
