Hi.
I removed a radiator (upstairs) to decorate behind. When i fitted it again i got nothing from the bleed valve, no water or air. It only gets hot at the bottom. When i removed it i drained all the water from it. I have bled all the other rads and the pressure at the boiler reads 1.5 bar. Any suggestions much appreciated. steve

Hi. Yes i did. It is hot at the bottom. The lack of air or water at the bleed valve is throwing me.

Blocked bleed valve. Turn rad valves off, remove bleed valve completely and use a pin or thin wire to poke a hole in it

Hi Andrew. Thanks for replies. I have tried that but it was a pain as valve is on the back of Rad.

You sure your actually turning the bleed nipple with it being rounded off

My brother has a combi/sealed system. Whenever it is drained down and refilled, one or two rads seem to get airlocked stopping them coming on - even though it's a pressurised system. To rectify this, we have to run the heating and turn all the other rads of to force out the lock and get the rad(s) heating again. This may possibly be your problem. May even be a blockage, which would possibly also be sorted by this method.

Before trying this, you would be advised to put your nipple back. :)
