No Central Heating - hot water ok

Hi All

Had the central heating on tonight but no heating, hot water ok. I checked the motorised valves as last time it was one of those that had failed, both seem very slack none is stiff to pull back has another failed ?

Any advice please

If the heating is off and the valve lever is slack, then there’s an issue, however with the heating on, it would be slack, but might not be hitting microswitch. Have you checked your thermostat?

run a bath and if heating magically comes on you have a faulty micro switch on your heating zone valve

its come on tonight as it should , typical will have to monitor
