Hello, newbie here so I would like to say that I have enjoyed this forum as a guest and thankyou for all your info.
I have got some new spotlights that I went to fit in my kitchen, yet the spot lights have NO earth fitting, just live and neutral. What should I do, just strap up the two earth wires with insulation tape? Help .

Your new light is "double insulated" which means it does not require an earth. use "connector block" for your exisiting earth wires and put inulation tape arounnd the exposed part.

I would add that it probably is double insulated, but check just to be sure. If there is a metal base or anything like that, they should be earthed.

Double insulated products will always have a mark, two concentric squares, like this:

And don't need earthing. :)
