Hi

My roof has no felt just tiles on batts

I was just wondering about the implications of this? If I try to convert the space will felt be needed or is there a product that can be fitted without taking the tiles off?

Cheers

Older roofs don't usually have felt under the battens and often have no problems.
In some ways it can be a good thing as a draughty roof is usually rot-free.
If you insulate for a loft conversion, there will be no problem as long as you leave sufficient air gap between the u/side of the battens and the top of the insulation board (2" usually recommended).
