Boiler: Gloworm Spacesaver Mk 2
Pump: Grundfoss
Motorised valve: ? Drayton lifestyle

Everything was working ok, nothing has changed, then there was no hot water or heating. Yesterday the water was heating up but seemed to be taking longer than normal. The electric to the timer controls seems fine. When turning on hot water and heating both work but there doesn't seem to be any response from the boiler or pump. Could the auxillary switch on the actuator have burnt out?

If anyone could confirm this or offer any other suggestions I would be grateful.

It's going to be a cold few days

The microswitch in the actuator head controls the boiler and pump.

Check for 240V at the orange wire when something is on.

The electric seems to work because when the programmer is used to turn on the water or heating, the 3 port valve seems to work because the pin moves to the relevant port. The boiler doesn't fire up, the pump vibrates.
What is the purpose of the manual open lever and the return spring?
Thanks.

If the pump is switched on by the controls, your boiler should come on as well. Does the pump go off when the timer goes off? In the original post you said there was no reaction from the pump either.

if the valves moving and the pumps running youve got your head in the wrong place mate. is there power at the boiler? is it fanned flue or balanced?
