I wonder if anyone can help! We moved house in March and had the living room decorated, therefore we took one of the radiators off. Now our heating doesn't work. All the pipes around the boiler get hot, we have replaced the motor and we have checked the tank in the loft but still no hot water is getting to our radiators!! Any suggestions welcome!

Just had the same sort of thing. You will have a box that is mounted on the side of a pipe "T" with a cable coming out of it not sure what it is called but in there is a small motor called "Synchron Motor" this switchs the water flow to the heating or hot water. It may have burnt out. In the mean time though there should be a small leaver on the side of the box that you can push down(move) and lock in place. this should give you hot rad's but only when the hot water is on, but you will have no control over the temp. To turn the heating of you will need to release the leaver or turn of the hot water. Just looked at the paper work I had and the box is a "Motorised Valve". Screwfix do new motors for about £10 and its not hard to replace. hope this helps. T.
