No hot water after new valve installed

Is there anyway you could manually set the valve to open on the hot water side and not the heating on these valves?

Or does the manual setting on the 3 port fully open all ports?

I guess a way to check the valve is to turn on the hot water only, ethier via the programmer, or to turn the room stat right down, turn the hot water cylinder stat right up and see if the pipe to the hot water cylinder gets hot as before and the heating doesn't.
