I have a Potterton Powermax 155x. For the last 2 days the hot water and central heating haven't been working. The power light is on, but the system doesn't fire up and goes to lock-out about 30 seconds after I turn it on.
There is a pressure gauge on the outside of the boiler, but we have always thought this was faulty. It has always been very low, and has been showing 0 for probably most of the year. We haven't had any previous problems of no water.
We had a plumber round yesterday but he said he didn't know the boiler type and he didn't really have a look at anything (don't think he noticed the pressure gauge). He suggested though that it might be the internal thermostat.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
