help. the low system pressure light has come on although the pressure guage is reading as it should be. i'v no hot water and the central heating isn't coming on. it sounds as though the gas is still coming through but the pilot isn't sparking up to heat the water. do i need a new circuit board? it is a potterton puma combi boiler

Standard problem is that dirt blocks the elecric pressure switch so the boiler thinks the pressure is low. You need a corgi to clean or replace the switch. It would be highly irresponsible to suggest that you pull the plug with 2 yellow wires , off its connector on the lower left corner of the pcb (with boiler switched off). The boiler would then work, though, til you could get your bloke.
Or the gauge could be stuck and the boiler really does need filling. Open the filling loop slowly and check the needle starts to move.
