We have a combi boiler (Potterton) and at the moment we have no hot water. However - no hot water from the shower either (I always thought that the shower heated the water as it came out?)

We are aware of a small problem with wiring near the water tank, as we had a problem a few months back with heating. There are two sets of wires and each one is only connected at one end. However, the hot water has worked fine up until now. (It was on the "to do" list to get fixed soon).

We have a plumber coming out tonight, but was just wondering what I should expect as I really don't want ripping off!

Any advice would be appreciated.

I dont think you shoule expect to get ripped off.

However you should always ask their charging basis before they come.

Where diagnosis of a fault is concerned I would always expect them to agree to a no-fix no-fee but not all will which I consider is wrong.
