Woke up this morning and not water coming through hot top. Cold is fine both up and down stairs - comes via main. Hot water boiler is working and central heating is working, but no water in hot tap. Have gone into attic - water tank is full. Not sure if pipes have frozen in attic have had minus 18 last night, although lagged. Have left heating on - Any advice?

There has been a few similar posts today - its a good sign that the large water tank in the loft is full, and presumably not frozen....however, this tank feeds the copper cylinder so no water can come out if none can get in - if you catch my drift. Any pipes that ascend from the top of the cylinder may enter the loft space and these too are at risk.
Leave the loft hatch open for a while and let the loft space warm up.
Did you notice the pipe that curves over the top of the water tank? Well, its vital that this one doesn't freeze as its the expansion pipe so pay particular attention to that.
Be lucky!
John :)
